Coming to Visit

The Adamsville Church of God has served the community of Adamsville since its humble beginnings in 1931.  Many things have changed since its inception (i.e. new pastors, new buildings, new members, new surroundings, etc...) but one thing has always remained the same:  the church's devotion to spreading the Gospel message of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  At the heart of every undertaking here at Adamsville is that same message.  Regardless of whether it is feeding the hungry, ministering through basketball, ministering to families in grief, teaching children, or ministering the Word, it is all done for the glory and honor of God in hopes that one more lost soul comes home.

Adamsville Church of God, "your church to come to" - it is a catchy slogan, but it goes so much deeper than that.  While we believe that an individual can indeed feel "at home" while worshipping and fellowshipping with the membership here at Adamsville, our main purpose is trying to lead people from the "highways and the hedges" to the true "home" that is found in Christ.

Pastor Stewart has said numerous times from the pulpit that if God does something for an individual while in attendance at the church, that when testifying, to not mention the church's name or the preacher's name in the same breath because all of the glory belongs to God.  It's part of our church's "strange" philosophy in that we are not looking to add new members and experience what is known as "church growth".  We believe that if we strive to further God's kingdom, then church growth will take care of itself.

If you find yourself reading this and you don't have a church home, you need one.  The Bible tells us to "not forsake the assembling of ourselves together" in these last days.  It is important that you find a congregation to worship with, whether it is with us here at Adamsville or elsewhere.  We would be glad to welcome you with open arms here at Adamsville.  If you decide to worship with us and join our congregation, we will laugh with you, cry with you, celebrate with you, and join arm in arm as we work for the Lord.

Are you Coming for a Visit?  If so, then we look forward to seeing you here at Adamsville.  Below you will find some helpful links regarding church information.  We wish God's blessings upon you, and hope that you will let us be "your church to come home to"!
