Power of Prayer
Prayer has been an integral part throughout the history of the Adamsville Church of God. From the prayer meetings of early years in the brush arbor to present day prayer groups, the church has known the necessity of prayer in carrying out its mission.
As prayer continues to be a primary focus, young and old alike know that "the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective" (James 5:16 NIV). It is for this reason that each Wednesday morning at 10 AM, women and men of all ages meet in the church sanctuary for a time of devotion and prayer. These intercessors come expecting God to move and meet needs and He does!
The church participated in a "year of prayer" that began Sept. 24, 2007. Small groups met nightly at the church with seniors and others praying at home. The results of these prayers are evident as we meet together in worship and praise!
The Adamsville Church of God will continue in its mission of Proclaiming the Power of Prayer!
