Hall Monitors & Ushers

Hall Monitors

When sending forth his disciples, Jesus told them to be as “wise as serpents, but harmless as doves".  In today’s society, we must enter into everything prayerfully, full of faith, and loaded with common sense. With that in mind, in 2008 a committee of 5 church members established a system of monitoring to provide a means of security for our church services and/or personal and church property.
These monitors consist of six team captains with a number of personnel under each. The monitors are equipped with two-way radios which will enable them to stay in constant contact with each other. The teams are rotated on a weekly basis.
Various training methods are used to keep the teams updated on how to handle situations that may arise. The committee has also developed emergency plans to be used for dangerous storms, fires, and acts by individuals.

Ushers

Usher teams are made up of a team captain, assistant captain and seven team members as needed to assist in finding seats for individuals, receiving offerings, and assisting the hall monitors in carrying out emergency plans of the church. Though some may feel this is not a ministry, the Church and Pastor’s Council believes that this function is a very important part of this church’s ministry.
